When Tuna Becomes Art: The Gold Tuna Omakase Story

Hello! I'm Choi Yeon, the owner of Gold Tuna. Every day, I find myself facing tuna multiple times. It’s fascinating how the same tuna can feel different depending on the day's weather, our guests' expressions, and my mood. I operate two locations in Bangi-dong and Sinsa-dong in Seoul, but I've never considered myself just selling tuna. Food ultimately conveys emotions.

“We don’t just sell food. We create memories, provide comfort, and serve hearts.”

📌 Gold Tuna's Philosophy and Our Team

Our 15-course omakase isn't just a meal. From tuna porridge to salads, fish balls, grilled mushrooms, sashimi, sushi, grilled fish, udon, and dessert, the experience flows smoothly like a finely composed melody, offering gentle comfort to our guests.

Most of our team members have been with us for over six years, and they even handle hiring their colleagues. Their service naturally reflects years of shared experiences and genuine connections.

📌 Creating a Memorable Space

Isn’t food the best way to express our hearts? I hope Gold Tuna becomes more than just a restaurant—a place that leaves lasting memories and offers comfort whenever you need it.

“Food is the language of the heart. I hope Gold Tuna remains in your memory, providing warmth beyond just taste.”

📌 Special Memories at Gold Tuna

Over 80% of our customers are regulars because we remember each guest’s name and preferences. Occasionally, our unique "Somaek" performances and "Jumakase" service become viral sensations on social media.

📌 Final Thoughts

Our tuna dishes follow three principles: full defrosting, thick cuts, and moisture removal. These ensure optimal texture and flavor. Our small efforts aim to give every guest a memorable and warm dining experience.

If today was tough or you have something special to celebrate, visit Gold Tuna. We promise to cherish your precious day.
