Gold Tuna Bangi-dong Review: The Spot Japanese Tourists Request
Why Japanese Travelers Chose Goldtuna: A Special Visit to Our Seoul Tuna Omakase Restaurant
In the third week of July 2026, a group of Japanese tourists and their travel guide visited Goldtuna's Bangi-dong branch.
Interestingly, this wasn't just a standard recommendation from the travel guide. After seeing videos of our signature "Jumakase" (our interactive chef's choice service) in Japan, the guests specifically requested their guide to include Goldtuna in their South Korea travel itinerary.
Japanese Guests Seeking a Truly Generous Tuna Feast
While tuna is incredibly popular in Japan, our guests mentioned that it’s rare to find opportunities to enjoy various premium cuts as generously as they do in Korea.
Goldtuna’s reputation as a specialized tuna destination was the primary reason they chose us.
Throughout the meal, we communicated using translation apps, sharing stories about the food.
“I have never tasted tuna of this high quality before.”
Hearing such high praise directly from a guest visiting from Japan was incredibly rewarding for our team.
Capturing Memories After a Satisfying Meal
As they were leaving, the guests asked to take a photo together to remember the day.
With their kind permission, I was able to capture a photo with them as well.
The photo shows our Japanese guests, their guide, and the Goldtuna staff all smiling and waving together after a wonderful dining experience.
A Word from "The Tuna Uncle"
It was deeply moving to know that guests from Japan—a country with a highly developed tuna culture—specifically adjusted their travel plans to find our small shop in Jamsil.
I hope that our Korean culinary style and hospitality provided a fresh and delightful experience for them.
To our guests: enjoy the rest of your trip to Korea and take back many wonderful memories!
