Gold Tuna Jamsil: The Best Family Dining Spot in Bangi-dong
At first, I truly thought they were sisters.
The two guests sitting side-by-side at our "dacci" (chef's counter) were actually a mother and her daughter. Their conversation and the way they treated each other felt as comfortable and natural as best friends.
Their shared passion? Baseball.
They cheered together whenever a great play appeared on the restaurant’s screens.
"It’s even more of a celebration when we go to the actual stadium," the daughter said with a laugh.

The mother didn't just watch the game because her daughter liked it.
She watched the game with her, cheered at the same moments, and engaged deeply with her daughter's stories. It didn't look like one person was just accommodating the other; it looked like two people genuinely sharing a hobby they both love.
It was a truly heartwarming sight.
Knowing what your child loves and participating in that interest—being an adult who watches, laughs, and cheers alongside them rather than just teaching them—is a beautiful thing.
It was wonderful to see a mother rooting for the same team during a meal, and just as lovely to see a daughter sharing her world with her mom.

The pair ordered our "Royal Special" course at the counter.
As each cut of premium tuna was served, they listened to the explanations and savored the flavors.
During the meal, they shared a high compliment:
"I never realized tuna could be this delicious."
It was an evening of cheering for baseball, enjoying top-tier tuna, and toasting with "somaek" (a classic Korean blend of soju and beer).
