Best Tuna in Bangi-dong: A Successful Summer Team Dinner Review
In late July, a group of five colleagues visited Goldtuna Bangi-dong. Even though it took about an hour to travel from their office to our restaurant, they chose us for their special summer outing.
The reason they bypassed closer options to come all the way to Bangi-dong was simple: they wanted the perfect combination of premium tuna and the legendary "Somaek" performance (a cocktail of Korean soju and beer) by our famous staff member, known affectionately as "Somaek-Imo."
The group opted for our "Omakase Special" course (priced at 130,000 KRW per person). Throughout the meal, they enjoyed filming the "Jumakase" (liquor omakase) show and even took commemorative photos to mark the occasion.
Choosing Tuna Omakase for a Summer Team Dinner in Seoul
When planning a corporate dinner, the first hurdle is choosing the cuisine. Between BBQ, seafood, traditional Korean, or Japanese, the options are endless.
For this group, tuna was the clear winner. They were willing to commute an hour to reach Goldtuna, one of the premier tuna restaurants in Seoul, specifically for our refined atmosphere and high-quality fish.
The "Omakase Special" they ordered is a comprehensive 15-course journey. It centers on premium tuna sashimi but also features sushi, grilled dishes, tempura, Japanese-Chinese fusion plates, and dessert. It’s a diverse dining experience that keeps the palate engaged beyond just the raw fish.
Quality Over Proximity: The Bangi-dong Destination
Usually, the larger the group, the more important travel distance becomes. Most teams prefer a spot right next to the office for convenience.
This dinner was different. These five colleagues intentionally chose Bangi-dong, prioritizing the specific tuna course and the unique service culture at Goldtuna over a shorter commute.
It wasn't about finding the "nearest" restaurant; it was about fulfilling a specific culinary craving for a premium tuna omakase.
Capturing the "Jumakase" Experience on Camera
One of the highlights of the night was filming the "Jumakase" performance. Meeting Somaek-Imo and seeing her skill in person was actually a planned part of their itinerary.
"We have to show this off to our friends!" they said enthusiastically. The cameras were out multiple times throughout the meal, and before leaving, the whole group posed for a photo with our famous staff.
The resulting photo shows five happy professionals gathered around Somaek-Imo, capturing a moment of genuine fun that goes beyond just eating.
A Successful Team Outing at Goldtuna Bangi-dong
The story of this visit is straightforward. A group of colleagues wanted a high-quality summer dinner, and they chose tuna. They specifically sought out Goldtuna Bangi-dong for its combination of fine dining and the unique "Jumakase" entertainment.
The hour-long journey, the premium course orders, and the laughter captured on video all testify to the value of choosing the right venue for a corporate gathering.

Q. What menu and prices are best for a company dinner?
The group of five in this story chose the Omakase Special at 130,000 KRW per person. However, it isn't necessary to always order the highest-tier course for a successful dinner.
Our evening menu consists of the VIP Special (80,000 KRW), Royal Special (100,000 KRW), and Omakase Special (130,000 KRW). The differences lie in the species of tuna used, the specific cuts provided (like Otoro or Akami), and the overall composition of the side courses.
We recommend selecting a course based on your group size, budget, and the attendees' preference for tuna. While this specific group chose our top-tier course, we host successful team dinners at all price points.
