“What exactly is Jumakase?”
This is a question we often hear from first-time visitors at Goldtuna Bangi-dong.
Jumakase is not a food menu item. It is a unique, interactive service at Goldtuna where our famous floor manager, affectionately known as "Somaek Imo" (Auntie Somaek), expertly mixes your drinks right at your table using the alcohol you've ordered.
While many local guests visit after seeing viral videos, we are seeing an increasing number of international travelers coming to Seoul specifically to experience this unique Korean "Somaek" culture alongside our premium tuna omakase.

What is Jumakase? (The Ultimate Korean Drinking Experience)
Jumakase is an interactive dining service at Goldtuna where
Somaek Imo creates custom drink mixes at your table
using the beverages you have ordered.
Depending on whether you order Soju, Beer, or other spirits, the performance varies. Guests often participate in the process or capture the energetic show on video. It is a world apart from standard drink services where a bottle is simply brought to your table.
As seen in the photo, many guests love to film the Jumakase performance to share on social media.
How to Request Jumakase
It’s simple!
When making your reservation, just mention that you "want to experience Jumakase." You can also download a Jumakase coupon via Naver Place for the Bangi-dong branch.
Even if you didn't book it in advance, you can ask Somaek Imo directly at the restaurant. We do our best to accommodate all requests on the spot.
However, please note that during peak dinner hours when the restaurant is full, there might be a slight wait as we attend to multiple tables.
Guests often say the taste of the creamy foam is unlike any beer they've had before.
How much does Jumakase cost?
There is no additional service fee for Jumakase.
You only pay for the cost of the alcohol you order.
Requesting this service does not increase the price of your drinks; the prices are identical to our standard menu. In short, when you order drinks, Jumakase is provided as a complimentary hospitality event.

A Global Sensation: International Guests at Goldtuna
What started as a small gesture of hospitality at our Bangi-dong tables has grown into a major attraction. Many of our reviews highlight that they discovered Goldtuna specifically because of Somaek Imo and the viral Jumakase experience.
Our fame has even reached overseas travelers. In August 2026, a group of travelers from Singapore visited specifically to experience Jumakase during their trip to Korea.
We’ve also hosted families from Hawaii who traveled to Bangi-dong after seeing Somaek Imo's videos online. While we don't track official statistics by country, these individual stories highlight our growing international presence.

Goldtuna Branches and Jumakase Availability
Jumakase is available at both our Bangi-dong (Headquarters) and Sinsa-dong (Garosu-gil) branches.
While the Bangi-dong branch is most famous online due to Somaek Imo's viral presence, our Sinsa-dong staff also provide excellent Jumakase services. In fact, our Sinsa-dong manager sometimes jokingly feels left out because of Bangi-dong's online fame!
At both locations, simply request the service when booking or speaking to our staff on-site.
